Cate Byrne is a multi-genre violinist with over 20 years of playibg experience. Her playing and compositions are mainly influenced by a combination of jazz and traditional fiddle styles. Cate received her Bachelor’s of Music in Contemporary Improvisation from New England Conservatory in 2022. She is passionate about using art and music as a way to create community and advocate for social and sustainable change. She received a Masters in Climate Science and Policy in 2024 from Bard College, and views her sustainability work and music as intersectional. She currently resides in the Hudson Valley of New York, and is involved with a variety of music projects here, New York City, and Boston.
